Protein Pizza Grilled Cheese 🤤
Any food with the word "Pizza" in it is something I want in my life 🍕
This Pizza grilled cheese recipe is SUPER low carb at only 6 grams of net carbohydrate in the recipe and has a whopping 43 grams of protein.
And best of all, it leaves around 140 calories left over for a side of some kind if you want to stay within our recommended meal calorie range for weight loss (400 calories per meal serving).
So you could easily add a bag of quest protein chips with this, or literally any side that is 140 calories or less and have a perfectly balanced meal.
Matt's Famous Protein Pizza Grilled Cheese
Single Serving Recipe:
- 258 calories
- 68% protein
- Only 10% Carbohydrate
- 43 Grams Protein
- 6 Grams Net Carbohydrate
- 2 Slices of Low Carb Bread
- 2 Tablespoons Pizza Sauce
- 1/4 Cup Fat Free Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 2-3 Ounces Fully Cooked Chicken Breast
- 8 Slices Turkey Pepperoni
1.) Spray the bottom of a skillet lightly with Cooking Spray, place one slice of low calorie / low carb bread into skillet, and turn on medium heat.
2.) Sprinkle half of your 1/4th cup fat free shredded mozzarella cheese onto the bread slice and spread it around.
3.) Add 4 slices of turkey pepperoni.
4.) Add 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce on top of the cheese and spread it around.
5.) Add the fully cooked chicken breast.
6.) Add the other half of your pizza sauce on top of the chicken and spread it around.
7.) Add 4 more slices of turkey pepperoni and the last half of the cheese, then place the last piece of bread on top of the sandwich. Spray the top of the last piece of bread very lightly with Olive Oil Cooking Spray.
8.) Flip and continue to cook on medium heat as necessary until both sides of sandwich and cheese are melted to your liking.
Pro Tip: Season the keto bread with garlic powder and salt to taste before cooking in the skillet for a massive flavor boost.
My Favorite Brand Of Sugar Free Condiments
Frankly, sugar free products and condiments used to be pretty gross, and some still are...
But these days there are a lot of really great sugar free condiments out there, and G Hughes brand is one of the leading brands on the market right now.
They make everything from sugar free BBQ, to honey mustard, to teriyaki sauce, to polynesian, to wing sauces, to ketchup, to my absolute favorite...Sweet Chili Sauce.
I'm not in love with their BBQ sauces, but their Sweet Chili Sauce, Honey Mustard, Ketchup, Thai Chili, and Teriyaki sauces are all really good.
Most regular dressings and condiments can have a MASSIVE amount of sugar and fat in them (super high calorie), which can be a huge cause of weight loss plateaus and a general lack of progress.
But, condiments like these allow you to add a ton of flavor to your meals without adding large amounts of calories.
Heck, 2 tablespoons of G Hughes Sweet Chili Sauce is only 5 calories! And it tastes just like regular sweet chili sauce. I use it in one our most popular cookbook recipes ever, The Sweetfire Chicken Recipe.
If you need a low calorie way to add some new flavors to your healthy cooking, I can't recommend these enough.
My New Daily Devotional
I am a huge proponent of morning routines, and I believe that having a high power morning routine can work wonders for your physical and mental health and have a huge impact on your life in general.
This new daily devotional by Kyle Fox is now a very welcome addition to my morning routine 💪🏻
The devotional is called With Him: 90 Days To Help Students Grow Deep Roots In Christ, but here's the thing — it's not just for students.
This is a truly great daily devotional for ANYONE.
I'm only a few days in, and many mornings I feel like the words / message in this devotional were written as if Kyle knew exactly where I would be and what I would need in this moment.
Which is simply to say...this devotional is a great investment.
Heck, I recommend you buy multiple copies. One for you, and one for your closest loved ones. 🙏
